Sunday Sketch, January 31st

This is a sketch I made for a challenge at Willow Traders back in November. I love to do scallops and circles, and this sketch is pretty straight forward and gives ample opportunity to work with flowers and flourishes (a personal favorite).

This is a rare photo of me and my son. You know...the kind of photo where you say, "Hey honey, do you think you could take a picture of me and the kids, so when they get older they will think I actually did fun things with them instead of just you all the time..." Of course he obliged. LOL!

For my layout I used an old Bazzill scalloped die cut. I know there are so many cute ones out there from the MFGs, but I still need to utilize my "old school" scallops. I also used a compass to trace two different sized circles on white cardstock and on one of the Imaginisce Scooter's Vacation papers. I also mixed some of the Imaginisce Perfectly Posh collection with the Scooter's Vacation. The blues are an exact match. The flowers are all from Imagnisce and I used my new Cricut to make the vines and leaves.

Discover Ducks

These are some more photos from our trip over the holidays. I love figuring out how to use wallet sized photos on my layouts. I was psyched to fit seven photos on this one to really show what we were up to while feeding the ducks. In one of the smallest photos, I cut around my daughter's hand to make it look like she is throwing corn to the photo of the ducks above her. The papers and embellishments are from the Imaginisce Scooter's Vacation collection. Such a fun color palette and super cute coordinating parts.

Sunday Sketch, January 3rd

How about playing with a 6x12 sketch this week? Samantha Sibbet is hosting a 6x12 layout challenge at the Pebbles Blog. Feel free to stop by and check out what the other design team members created.

It's fun to create different sized layouts and 6x12s are a great way to utilize space. I selected two 4x6 photos and cropped them both to 4x5 so I could use one of the title strips from the Pebbles Papers as a border. I also used two different sizes of white letter stickers to make the title balance out the page. TFL.
