Sunday Sketch, July 26th

What can you do to make creative borders for your layouts? Two photos and an idea for a masculine layout make this an all around sketch. Feel free to replace stars with other embellishments or girl it up with some flowers. Have fun - Liz

These are the new Pebbles Inc. Lil' Buddy papers. They are so darn cute and the colors and patterns have so much potential. I used an EK Success stamp punch around the border of the navy Bubba paper and then cut out the center so the light blue Blankie paper would show through the center and around the edges. I just love the cardstock stickers that come with this line of papers. Isn't that turtle darling? Pebbles Inc. also does the cutest little patterns on the opposite side of the paper description strip, which is what I used for the little strip of stars on my layout. Please visit the Pebbles Inc. Blog for more ideas and inspiration with Lil' Buddy.

R &R

I apologize to those of you who missed a sketch this week. I have been on vacation and did not have time to make one for Sunday. I will be back this Sunday with a new design for you. Thank you for your patience. :) - Liz

BTW - I wish my vacation was as restful as the picture, but alas it was not. Here is where I found this photo.

Sunday Sketch, July 12th

Hope you are all playing outside in the sun and getting in some vacation time this summer. On the off chance that you are holed up inside and working on your scrapbooks, here is another Sunday Sketch.

I created this layout for My Creative Scrapbook's July Creative Kit. I just love October Afternoon and their new line Cherry Hill. It made for a great play on words in the title. I cut out the center of the Jenni Bowlin die cut and used it to frame the two OA papers I used for the background. I think the effect is kind of cool. I also was looking for another way to use up the hundreds of wallet sized photos I am collecting. Three of them clustered together make a nice line.

PS - I will announce the winner of the June Monthly Challenge tomorrow. Hope more of you will play along next month. TFL - Liz

I am so happy to share that I have been invited to design for the Pebbles Inc. team! This is really a dream come true, as I love everything about their products...the possibilities are endless. My absolute favorite are the Linnie Bell papers featured below along with some of the projects I submitted with my application. Thank you for stopping by - Liz.

Monthy Sketch Challenge - June

Here is this month's RAK. I just LOVE Cosmo Cricket's new line Early Bird. Cherries and retro seem to be all the rage right now and this kit is loaded with plenty of fun things to illustrate summer. Please see all of the sketches from June below and post a link to any layouts you have created with them in the comments section of this post. I will draw for a winner on July 12th, so you still have time to eek one out. Remember, the more layouts you created, the more times you are entered into the drawing. Hope to see many of you playing along. - Liz
